President
Robert S. Fabris is a Certified Professional Landman with over 40 years of leadership experience in land, business development, and acquisitions and divestitures across upstream and midstream oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. As President and Co-Founder of Liberty Land Management, Robert oversees both field and in-house operations, managing lease negotiations, asset transactions, and project execution across diverse U.S. basins.
Before co-founding Liberty, Robert led Brightstar Energy Consulting and served as Executive Vice President at Sierra Resources, where he managed joint ventures, asset acquisitions, and strategic business development initiatives totaling 450M gross acres with divestitures of more than $550MM. His early career includes senior roles with Amoco Production Company, Shell Western E&P, and Placid Oil Company, where he directed major domestic and international projects, including a $46MM exploratory JV.
Robert holds an MBA from the University of Georgia and a BA from the University of Mississippi. He has served in multiple leadership roles with AAPL, HAPL, and NAPE, and continues to be an active member of industry organizations.

Vice President
Ruth R. Magee is a seasoned land management professional with over 40 years of experience spanning the Texas Gulf Coast, Permian Basin, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Wyoming. As Vice President and Co-Founder of Liberty Land Management, Ruth leads project management and business development efforts while remaining directly involved in land projects across the U.S.
Ruth has held senior leadership roles at Peachridge Energy Partners, Forge Energy, Sheridan Production Company, and others, managing large-scale drilling programs, due diligence efforts, and complex land negotiations. She also brings hands-on experience with joint ventures, acquisitions, and operational land support for thousands of wells and extensive acreage. Her broad expertise includes leasing, 3D seismic acquisition, land administration, regulatory compliance, and asset divestitures.
Ruth attended the University of Texas and is an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Houston Association of Professional Landmen.

Vice President
John R. Magee brings over 15 years of experience in petroleum land services, including extensive work across South Texas, the Gulf Coast, Permian Basin, East Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. As Vice President and Co-Founder of Liberty Land Management, John oversees key aspects of title analysis, mineral and surface ownership, lease negotiation, and oil and gas acquisitions. His career spans both in-house and field roles, where he has successfully supported private equity-backed operators and independent E&P and midstream companies.
John is known for his meticulous title research, strategic lease negotiations, and comprehensive understanding of production and regulatory data. He also brings hands-on experience with division orders, right-of-way agreements, and curative title work. Prior to co-founding Liberty Land Management, John worked with respected firms including J. Mark Smith & Associates, Robert L. Magee, Inc., Roger A. Soape, Inc., and Ted W. Walters & Associates.
John earned his BBA in General Business Administration from Sam Houston State University. He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Houston Association of Professional Landmen.
